5.4.12 Failed Mission

The cockpit is cold.  Icy cold.  We’ve taken too many hits and Space is unforgiving.  The instruments have started shutting down.

My navigator breathes heavily.  He hasn’t had the training.  Doesn’t know how to fight the lack of oxygen.

“Hang in there, buddy,” I say, but I’m trying not to panic.  I’ve seen this before in the vids: we freeze without shields.

We’re heading for the planet.  The fleet’s too far to offer salvation.
He’s shaking, suffocating.
The atmosphere is thick.  We’re going to burn.
He turns to me.  Eyes wide.

“I’m sorry.  So sorry.  May God be with you.”

5.27.11 Searching Forever

We search through the vastness of space for something – anything that can prove that we’re not alone. We fly our ships in erotic patterns in the desperate hope that the randomness will somehow aid our searches. We used to be very meticulous in our probing, but that was long ago. Over the centuries we have grown careless, sloppy even. Honestly, I think we have given up. Floating past long dead stars and burned out planets, we have seen far too much lifelessness to truly believe that there is hope.
It is difficult living without hope.
We know we are alone.

5.25.11 - Time and Reality

Fact: time travel has never truly been impossible. In fact, it is quite easy given the right circumstances. Electron particles must be forced to merge with positrons thereby utilizing their anti-material qualities and leaving nothing but pure energy. And time thrives on this. Many have not yet comprehended that time is a dimension; a state of space (or spacetime) governed by energy. Time is anything but stationary. But contrary to popular belief, time does not move in a straight line. Rather, time is like a ball of wires, with hundreds of intersecting points.
The future has already affected your past.
