5.14.11-blank pages

What are you reading?”
Shannon asked her younger brother, Mark who read anything and everything.
Just a book.” he answered, consumed with his reading.
Come on, I know you finished yesterday's book, what are you reading now.”
It's nothing-just a book.”
Shannon walked around to look at the cover of her brother's book.
It's blank. The cover doesn't have any words on it.”
She leaned over and looked at the pages.
Those are blank too. How can you read a book with no words?”
The pages aren't blank. Can't you see the words?”

Blank Page 5.14.2011

The blank page stared  at her. She tapped her pen on it.
The white paper was to blank. She wanted to write, but couldn’t find the right words. The white blank page stared up at her it dared, challenged her to write something.
There was so much importance behind this paper. This page was the last clean one. As in the last blank, non-recycled-seven-times page.
She wanted her words to be important. That they would last until the end of time. The strongest memory would be weaker than these words, even as they faded.
She began writing.
