{worship} (for) 5.11.12

Let's sing the doxology before we begin”
Praise God from whom all blessings flow...
The music that ensued can't be described in words. It was more than beautiful melody. We were just students- not everyone could even carry a tune.
Praise God all creatures here below...
No, the beauty lay in something more than sound. It lay in the unity of the Spirit, the voice of worship.
Praise him above ye heavenly host...
It's broken, but beautiful. If this is only a fractured echo of His music, than what could Heaven be like?
Praise father sin and holy ghost.

{drama} (for) 5.9.12

Where do siblings honor each other with such grace and humility, and hug each other in front of friends? Where do young men cry without shame and without being shamed? Where do principle characters honor their chorus and the chorus honor their principles? Where do teachers compliment their students as equals and brothers and sisters in Christ? Where do 43 students pray openly for strength and humility, desiring to give the glory only to their savior? Where do 43 students singing praises by choice as they wait?
Here. In this place united in Christ at the foot of the cross.

{waiting in the wings} (for) 5.18.12

Watching, listening, reviewing. Adrenaline pumps, mind races.
We watch the characters already on stage, waiting for the cue.
We listen to their conversations, listen for the music, waiting for the cue.
We review our lines, run the scene in our minds, waiting for the cue.
Suddenly the moment comes. A surge of emotion. Everything has culminated to this moment. The hours of learning, memorizing, practicing, reviewing, preparing reach their climax in this split second. The lights shine, the mics are on, the line is spoken and the music starts.
We enter and all at once we aren't who we were.

Make-Believe 5.15.2011

“Alas, but this will not work out with us. I am a lady of noble birth, you are a common man. A man who is found for to be died,  a hanging time,” she said sadly, her eyes filling with tears. She gazed up at the man standing on the box. She adjusted her dainty gloves.
He looked at her, a bored look on his face. A mischievous gleam sprang into his eyes. He jumped down.
She stamped her foot while pulling up her mothers gloves. “No you’re supposeda hang dramatically!”
“I am! This is my soul playing somewhere else!”
