Peter (for 5.21.13)

Jesus rebuked me today. It was just that he was talking about how he was going to die and be murdered and he can’t die! He told me I didn’t understand, that I was setting my mind on things of man. But doesn’t he understand? I left everything. There is no going back. If he dies that’s the end for all the others and me. He can’t leave us now. Doesn’t he see all he’s doing? All the good that is happening through him?

“Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”

(1 Corinthians 13:12)

{drama} (for) 5.9.12

Where do siblings honor each other with such grace and humility, and hug each other in front of friends? Where do young men cry without shame and without being shamed? Where do principle characters honor their chorus and the chorus honor their principles? Where do teachers compliment their students as equals and brothers and sisters in Christ? Where do 43 students pray openly for strength and humility, desiring to give the glory only to their savior? Where do 43 students singing praises by choice as they wait?
Here. In this place united in Christ at the foot of the cross.

5.31.11 The body of Christ.

The hands which worked, the body that was baptized, the back that was whipped, the face that was spit upon, the feet that burned when they walked across the stone path which led to the hill, the hands that were pierced, the back which held the weight of sin, the body that was resurrected, the face that was glorified by the father. Christ, who despite the fact that he loved his father, felt the merciless pain of nails in his hands and feet, the wrath of the father, and the crown of thorns.

The body of Christ that was broken for the world.

5.24.11-the breaking of my heart (rough thoughts)

For me to live for you, to leave myself behind, to find what I am missing. I surrender my all to you. I sacrifice my fear on the alter of your love. My heart, my desires, my loves, my dreams, all for you. To live, fill me with your everlasting life. To love, loosen my bonds of fear. To leave myself behind, break my heart of everything that's mine. Heal it with your love. To give and take, to live and love with this hurting world you must break my heart. So I can live with reckless abandon for You.

5.20.11 Glorified

The father of the man clothed in a white robe gathers his son into his arms. As He touches the scars of the nails that held is hands and feet to the wood and the crown of thorns that had been placed upon his flesh, a few tears fall down his cheeks. His son had suffered excruciating pain for his people.
There was much rejoicing in the kingdom that day, for the king's son had returned. There was a great feast and He was seated at the right-hand of the king. A brilliant gold crown was placed upon his head.

He is glorified by all.
