For Freedom, I Love ~ 5.13.2011

They sat in rows, hands on the keyboards, typing as their teacher droned on about biology and where they came from long ago. There was a scuffle at the door and simultaneously all heads turned to the door. A man broke through the guards at the door. He ran to a girl, his death shown in his eyes
The girl’s memories rushed back as soldiers started taking him away.
She stood.
A boy rushed to her, pulling her away.
“For freedom, I love!” she cried, kissing him.
“Run! For the love of David!” he shouted pushing her as he fell.

5.10.11 Semisocialism

There are some things they don’t teach in their fancy Government Law Schools or uptight Political Instructionals. They tell us the horrors of prerogative and license. They tell us the glorious future of collectivism and anti-privacy. But they don’t say how to reach this ultimate goal. Thing is, we’re stuck in the middle. Our leaders are too greedy to surrender the power they’ve taken, and the people are too powerless to stop them. There is no money and no property to be shared. We’ve been roped into a bargain they never intended to uphold. We’ve got nothing left but regret.
