5.23.11 Shadow Puppets

They were normal teenagers, joking with each other, talking about boys with each other, bestfriends, and even though they were 1 year apart in age, they felt like twins. They lay in bed aftera long day, trying to decide what to talk about, when one of them turned on a light. The lightstretched across the wall.
“Lets make shadow puppets!” she says.
They formed there hands into llamas, sheep, bunny rabbits, ducks, cars and even flinstonecharacters.
Despite there age, they were perfectly content with making shadow puppets.
When they drifted off to sleep, they were smiling.

The Lost Smile (for 5.17.11)

My little girl bounced into the kitchen, her blond curls dancing, and her denim jumper covered in grass stains. On her face was a frown as big as one of Saturn's rings.

“What’s the matter, honey?” I asked.

“Well, I was playing hide-and-seek outside and my smile decided it wanted a turn hiding. So I let it. But, after I counted to ten, I couldn’t find it.”

“Well, that is a problem. Do you want me to help you find it?”

“That would be great!”

I reached out and tickled my little girl.

Then she found her smile.
