{mystery} 5.17.12

Her and her sister sat alone in the house after dinner. The sun was setting, but it was not yet dark. Hardly a sound penetrated the silence, only the occasional, natural sound of evening. The house was still and only a cool breeze flew in through the one open window, but even that slight movement seemed to intensify the resounding hush. They sat, both lost in thought so that neither, at first, noticed the soft twinkling melody of a music box. The older girl looked up, “Where's that music coming from?”
The younger girl hardly moved, “What music?”

{fantasy mornings} 5.7.12

Early, before Spider spins her web, before the Sun rises with its warm embrace-in that split second of twilight when night becomes day-the Faeries grace the earth. Born of the Spring dew, they rise on the wings of the Mist and caress budding flowers, saplings, and shoots, feeding them strength to endure Mid-day Sun's dry scorching heat. They flit and twitter, adorning the morning's birth with silence. Until, when Pink first glimmers on the horizon they awaken the birds to harken Daylight with their adoring worship. Morning is ready and now the Faeries wait to melt with the mist.
