5.17.11 School Project

The interview was all set up; recorder in the center of the table, script for the school project, little first grader wringing his hands, old lady who had experienced more life than her tiny interviewer could imagine.
The boy pressed his nose against the paper and wiggled it around. “Grandma, I can’t read this. Please help.”
She smiled, taking the paper in her wrinkly hands. “For your school project,” she read. “Begin by asking about your grandparent’s childhood. Example: what games did they play? What did they like? What did they eat?”
“Oh! So...um… do you have any cookies?”
