“I would have you right here and right now,” he strode across the room.
“Excuse me?” An indignant woman’s voice came from the hall. “I can not believe you just said that to me.”
He turned to look and saw the maid standing there, her lips pursed, one eye brow arched.
“No no no! It’s for my theater production.”
“Mmmhmm. I’m sure it is.”
“There is more! I swear….”
She just looked at him, her lips still together in a disbelieving manner.
“But, my dear wife, I must leave. My love for you is a danger.”
“Mmph. I’ve heard better.”
