Innocence in Black & White

The innocence of children. The world is black and white. It stays that way for their early childhood and life. As they get older the black shifts to a dark gray, and the white is slowly tinged with a lighter gray. The sliding colors, blending the sharp lines between black and white. The world turns to shades of gray, the right and wrong blending to form a mostly right wrong. We have lost the childish innocence as we grow. The world is revealed as black and white but mostly shades of gray.
O for the innocence of a child again.

(I know I'm not doing the weekly words.. but.. I felt like doing the B&W line for my drabble today)

  1. The loss of innocence always makes me melancholy. I think you captured this sadness very well. Great job!
