Now, the whole world had one language.
But they began to build a city, a city with a tower that
reached to the heavens so they could make a name for themselves. The people
feared being scattered. The Lord saw them building. He saw the bricks and the mortar;
he saw the city and the tower. He knew this was only the beginning of what the
people would build.
He said, “Let us go down and confuse their language, so they
cannot understand each other.”
The Lord confused the languages of the all people and
scattered them over the earth.
Ooh. I hadn't even thought of this when I chose the title.
