Jagged Edges

True story: yesterday my office moved to another building.  It was supposed to be easy, painless.  Professional movers were on the scene.  The office furniture and supplies didn’t like that.  They didn’t want change.  And they sure as heck wouldn’t take getting pushed around.  So they did the only thing they knew how to do: they fought back.  It was a bloody, bruising revolution.  A file cabinet smashed my toe.  A suicide book dropped on my head.  Papers leapt out to cut my hand.  Thumb tacks sharpened themselves and waited.

Who knew a white collar job could be so hazardous?
