"I'm too sensitive".
That is the number one reason people give when they choose not to do foster care. They are "too sensitive" to soothe a drug addicted baby. "Too sensitive" to comfort a child separated from his parents and siblings. "Too sensitive to mentor a teen and help him break the cycle of violence and addiction.
We, "insensitive" ones deal with the sadness, lack of sleep, and discouragement because we believe "whatever you did for the least of these... you did for Me". We don't expect you to give of your time, money, talents. We understand... you are "too sensitive".
