the food he’d eaten had barely helped his hunger, but, he was much too excited to eat. he’d barely heard from the station back home. always a good sign. the mission must be going well.
the headset buzzes.
"you should see it in seconds."
this was what he’d been waiting for!!!
he peers out, trying to catch the first glimpse.
“GEEOORRRGGEEEEEEEEEEEE! MOMMY WANTS YOU INSIDE FOR DINNERRR!!!”
ugh, he was so close too. he had to see it!
"not now, rosie"
“geeee-orrrgeee mommy wants you inside now! who were you talking to anyways??”
"i'm anastronaut. i'm talking to the commander!”
“oh. where was the astronaut going to?”
she waits, expectantly for the answer.
“i was on a shuttle to nowheresville!”
