“I’ve met you before, one of many sons” the old man, Gorle, waved a paper. His friendly eyes painted concern with every word. “I know the sins. But, that’s not important.”
Feildred slammed the wooden table. “You are my only accuser. Now, look in my face.” Feildred’s anger was summoned by a righteous power beyond himself, and shown in his mouth and nose. “You haven’t met me! I am the only son!” He snached Gorle’s paper, and replaced it with a book. “Liars and thieves,” he mocked, “You know not what is in store, or you would not be here.”
