Homesick

A sharp pain constricts my heart. It feels as if my heart is gasping for air, like my heart is drowning. It feels like a sob. It feels as if my heart is crying.
But there’s nothing I can do. I can’t see you until you say it’s time. Even knowing the day is coming; knowing the hour is near does not lessen the constricting pain in my heart. The sob wells up from deep within. My heart cries. My soul longs. My very being aches to see you.

The home you’ve prepared sounds beautiful

I want to go home
