5.1.11-the words he spoke

The people watch intently. Jesus is back in his home town and they are eager to hear him teach. They hand him the scroll of the prophet Isaiah, and with the graceful knowledge of a rabbi he finds the passage he is searching for. The people listen eagerly as the words of their heavenly father are read. They shift as they stand in the heat and Jesus speaks, his tone is perfect. These are his father's words. He articulates a promise prophesying his own life. But though they are eager to hear his words, they are deaf to his message.
