What the Fish Don't Know

{This came from all of the fisheries study papers I have to read at work (sorry if no one understands it); also I left my creative brain in bed}

Do you even know, little fishes, what we have to do to you?  We’re not trying to be cruel, not purposefully.  But sometimes pain is the patch to plug the hole.  Sometimes sacrifice is needed. 

Please don’t hate us.  Don’t think badly of us when we take you out of familiar waters for strange ones, when we cut you open to study your infections, when we sew microchips into your bodies to track your movements, when we create poisons to kill you because you’re taking over more than you ought to.  

Please understand.  We’re doing this because we need you.
