The whispers started again. She
thought they had stopped and for the past couple of years they had, but they
were back and from what they were saying, they weren’t happy.
She lay sprawled on her bed,
staring at the ceiling. “Leave me alone,” she whispered.
“No.” A simple answer but it filled
her with dread.
“What do you want?” She was barely
able to contain herself, and she considered going down the hall to get her
parents.
“Don’t do that. They’ll just send
you back.”
She began to sob, paralyzed.
“Why me?”
The
voices laughed. “You are mine,” it hissed.
Nice. Sure get that feeling of helplessness.
